House. C17 or earlier with early/mid C19 refacing and
additions and C20 refurbishment. Timber-framed, rendered, red
brick, C20 pantiled roof. Plan uneven T form. 2 storeys. Front
SW elevation: brick faced. 4 window range of principal 3
window grouping plus a further single windowed additional bay
at SE end. Principal run all C19, all windows sashes with
glazing bars. Ground floor, each outer end, a 3-cant bay
window brick base, slated hipped roof, 1x4, 3x4, 1x4 panes,
between, segment headed front doorway, moulded architrave,
door of 6 panels, 3 pane overlight and adjacent segment headed
window with side margin glazing bars, 5x2 panes. First floor,
3 windows all with margin glazing 5x4 panes. Single bay
extension has ground and first floor segment headed windows
3x2 paned sashes. Stacks, NW end C17 exterior, SE end of
principal range also Cl7, C19 stack towards NW end. NE rear
elevation: range all rendered, has wing projecting towards SE
end with slight end-jetty, adjacent range to S also blank. To
NW, 2 C19 doors, one of 4 panels, bead moulded, one boarded,
3-light sliding sash window between. First floor, one 3-light
casement window. NW end elevation: gable end, large C17
shouldered stack has windows to NE side on ground and first
floors, casement and sliding sash respectively, behind,
windows on ground and first floor of rear wing. SE end
elevation: C19 front edge of brick facing wall to timber
framing, plain C20 door, wing behind, 2 ground floor and 1
first floor casement windows.
INTERIOR: not inspected but evolution from C17 house with end
stacks is clear, rear jettied wing probably earlier, possibly
late C16.
