Gates and gate piers for Carlisle Cemetery. 1855-6 by Messrs JM & J Hay of Liverpool. Calciferous sandstone ashlar and cast-iron. Simple speared double gates flanked by piers which have stone buttresses and triple-gabled caps. Left pier has OS bench mark.
