Towpath bridge over branch of canal. c.1800, altered. Red brick in English garden wall bond, with sandstone dressings. Elliptical arch with keystone, stone band, parapet with rounded stone coping (curved outwards at the ends, dying into the ground); cobbled deck.

Forms group with Lock-keeper's cottage to east (q.v.) and Lock No.2 beyond that (q.v.).
