1/100 Priory Farmhouse
GV II
Farmhouse. C17, rebuilt early C19. Rubble stone, double-roman
tiled roof with hip to right and brick stacks. Two-storey, 4-
window. Four-panelled door in C19 hipped porch to left of centre,
2-light casement to left and two 2-light casements to right. First
floor has four 2-light casements, all with hoodmoulds. Left return
has external stack with offsets and 2-light casement to left,
blocked first floor window to right. Rear has C19 slated verandah
and porch, 3-light casements to rear 2-storey wing, curved first
floor projection with 2-light casement, single-storey extension
attached to left with casements.
Interior has early C17 moulded stone fireplace to first floor right
hand room, letters ER in plaster to overmantel, ground floor has
deeply chamfered beam. Other fittings including stairs and joinery
are C19.
