GV II

Smithy and dwelling, now house and office. Early/mid C18. Coursed limestone
rubble; brick infill in right bay entry; gabled old tile roof, C20 tiles to
rear; brick internal stack to rear. Forge and one-unit dwelling to left. One
storey and attic; 4-window range. Timber lintel over C20 door left of centre,
and C20 casements: gabled roof dormer with 2-light leaded casement. Right bay
has timber lintel over double doors. Late C18/early C19 two-storey cross wing to
left, remodelled in late C19: one storey service extension to rear with 2-light
leaded casement. Interior: brick fireplace and vertical-diaphragm bellows to
right. Chamfered and stopped beam and bressumer over open fireplace to left.
