Barn. Late C17 or C18. Timber framed with clapboarded covering and slate
roof. Single-aisled plan with one, later, cross wall and C19 extension.
Yard front: deep plinth of Flemish bond brick, double doorway to left of
centre being the full wall height. Single doorway at right. Attached to
the right hand gable end is a C19 extension of less height which joins with
a range of cow byres which are not included in this item.
Interior: The wall posts and arcade posts have arched braces which rise to
the straight tie beams. Collars and wind bracing to the roof and close
studding with passing halved angle braces to the walls. The aisle posts
support arched braces which join the aisle tie.
