Corsham Fire Station (1897-1940)
The first Corsham Fire Station opened in 1897 and had a horse drawn engine was situated at the bottom of Priory Street nearly opposite to where the High Street Post Office is now. Priory Street was originally called ‘Stumps Lane’ after a clothier, but was changed to Priory Street at the turn of the last century.
