GV II
House, formerly subdivided. Mid C17 incorporating a C13/C14 window, and early
C18. Coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels; thatch roof with brick
stacks. 2-unit and single-unit plans. 2 storeys. 2 bays to left of 4-window
front are earlier, the left bay with 3-light wood-mullioned windows with
stop-chamfered lintels to both floors, the right bay with a 3-light C18 casement
at ground floor. The later unit has a plank door and a 3-light casement at
ground floor, and two 2-light casements above. Rear has further casements
including 4 splay-mullioned windows to the earlier section and a doorway with a
C17 frame. All windows have leaded glazing including some very old glass in the
earlier windows. Interior: 2 open fireplaces; stop-chamfered beams. Right end
wall of earlier section, now internal, incorporates a small C13/C14 window with
Y-tracery.
