House and shop, now 2 houses. Early C19. Herringbone tooled
coursed squared sandstone with rusticated ashlar quoins, and
painted ashlar plinth and dressings. Right return rubble
exposed by demolition of adjacent building. Roof of graduated
stone slates with stone gable copings and stone chimneys. 2
storeys; 3-window range. Renewed doors alternate with windows
and have painted stone surrounds. Similar surrounds to 4-pane
sashes of No.12 and plain sashes of No.14. At left, shop
window is shallow square bay window with slender angle
pilasters and central mullion, under deep fascia which
overlaps Regency oval paterae of earlier fascia. Low-pitched
roof has moulded kneelers and central and right ridge chimneys
with plinths, top bands and rendered additions. INTERIOR: not
inspected.
