Shop with accommodation and store rooms over. Designed by James Hicks of Redruth for Messrs Criddle and Smith shortly before 1884. Brick with granite dressings;roof hidden behind parapet. Deep rectangular plan. Italianate style with early Gothic detail. 4 storeys; 3 bays. Double shop front with flanking pilasters to moulded entablature; first and second floors dominated by wide full-height central arch flanked by narrow arches carried on giant fluted pilasters with stiff-leaf foliate capitals; within these arches are 2 tiers of windows with central canted oriel to the first floor; central bay has windows with double transoms and coloured glass over the top transoms, otherwise horned sashes. Bold cornice beneath fourth floor or attic storey which has 5 windows under keyed round arches with pilasters between carrying the parapet entablature with turned balustrade over. INTERIOR not inspected.
