Fountain in St.Peter's Gardens

GV II

Fountain. 1894. Ashlar on granite base. Round granite base and
pool with roll-moulded coping; hexagonal plinth with 6
dolphins supporting round gadrooned bowl with inscription
recording the fountain's erection; shaft with leaves and masks
and figures of children support round bowl with fountain head.
Erected in memory of Philip Horsman, a generous benefactor to
the town, who gave the adjacent Art Gallery (q.v.).
