Mausoleum

GV II

Mausoleum. Early C20. For the Behrens Family of Swinton
Grange. Pebble dash on brick plinth, with ashlar dressings;
overhanging bracketed eaves to hipped and sprocketed tiled
roof. Rectangular on plan, with chamfered plinth band and
battered angle buttresses. East front: 1 storey 1 bay. Quoined
hollow-chamfered round-arched doorcase, beneath hoodmould,
contains double doors with attached panelling. West front:
obscured by ivy. North and south fronts: 1 storey 2 bays. Two
3-light windows with cusped ogee-arched tracery, in
square-headed quoined architraves.
