Terrace of 19 houses. c1830. Stucco with limestone dressings,
Nos 17-22 limestone ashlar, party wall stacks and pantile
hipped roof, Nos 6-14 a concrete tile mansard roof.
Double-depth plan. Each of 2 storeys and attic; 1-window
range. Articulated by pilaster strips through first-floor
cornice to coped attic parapet. Right-hand doorways, with
raised surrounds, have rectangular overlights and 6-panel
doors. 2/2-pane horned sashes. Nos 6-14 have mansards with
single dormers, the rest have attic storeys with double-pile
roofs. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached
front garden walls and capped piers. Nos 9-25 are numbered 98
onwards by plates on the doors identified as Bristol Docks
Buildings, indicating ownership by the Docks Committee. A
significant row of early C19 artisan housing in Bristol.
