Memorial. c1890. To Heber Denty. Oak with limestone panels and
cast-iron railings. A rectangular plot with a central rear
screen with a timber frame of fluted columns to an entablature
and pediment, containing an inscribed panel and bronze wreath,
with facing screens each side with fluted pilasters to
pedimented lintels; ornate finials and barleysugar rails to
the front. Denty was reportedly a timber merchant; this is a
very rare example of a wooden memorial.
