Tomb of the Rev. Walter Whiting (d.1885)
Canopy tomb of Pennant stone, with a marble inscription panel in the form of an open book. The segmental pedimented canopy is carried on four Greek Doric columns.
HISTORY: Whiting was a chaplain in the East India Company, who was present at various battles. His wife Mary (d.1862) 'a low fever caught while on an errand of mercy among the poor and briefly fatal in its results'. Listed for its architectural and historic interest.
