House. Early C19. Roughcast with limestone dressings,
limestone ashlar, lateral stacks and a slate hipped roof.
Double-depth plan. Italianate style. 2 storeys and basement;
4-window range. A symmetrical entrance front has pilaster
strips to overhanging eaves, with a 1-window extension to the
left; a central 2-storey porch has an open ground floor with
Tuscan columns to an entablature, rectangular fanlight and
2-leaf 4-panel door. Ground-floor windows have fluted
architraves, single first-floor window in the porch, with
6/6-pane sashes. Ashlar rear elevation has a tented verandah.
Square C20 extension to the roof. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached front garden rubble wall with
roll-top coping, and ashlar piers.
