WOODSTOCK MARKET STREET SP4416NE (North side) 10/149 The King's Arms Hotel 13/02/69 (Fonmerly listed as King's 5 Arms Hotel) GV II Hotel. c.1840, with earlier origins. Stuccoed walls; older limestone rubble walling to rear; gabled Welsh slate roof; brick internal and end stacks. L-plan with rear right wing. 3 storeys; 4-window range. Doric cast-iron columns to porch, in front of mid C19 six-panelled (2 glazed) door to left of centre. Canted bay windows with plate-glass sashes in outer bays. Two-pane plate-glass sashes to other windows. Late C19 rear right wing, of colourwashed brick with Welsh slate roof. Interior: mid C19 staircase to rear; cased beams.
