The Crown Hotel

Public house. Early C18, refronted early C19. Rendered with slate roof. Three
storeys and basement, with plinth and pilaster strips parapet, with raised segmental
centre section. Three wooden casements on 2nd floor, 2 canted bays with sashes
and central sash on first floor. Ground floor 'pub front', with rounded corners,
plate glass windows with central double half-glazed doors with rectangular fanlight
and pilastered surround. Fascia and cornice over whole. Basement opening to left.
The name Crown Hotel in raised lettering on segmental parapet. First registered
as the Crown Inn in 1717. (Busson, Ramsgate, 89; Mirams, Old Ramsgate Pubs, 25-6).
