3/42 Barn approximately 12 metres
- south-west of Place Court
GV II
Threshing barn. Probably C17 with early C19 roof. Cob on stone rubble footings;
thatch roof. Barn with large double doors in the centre of each long wall onto the
threshing floor. The south-east side has probably C19 full height doors, each split
into 2 flaps, and these are flanked by loading hatches high in the wall. The roof
is half-hipped to left and gable ended to right and the eaves are carried down a
short distance as a hood over the doorway.
Interior is open to the roof, a series of C19 tie beam and queen post trusses.
