The building is two storeys in height and three bays wide. It is constructed of brick and has a pantile roof with an eaves board. There is a rendered plinth at ground level.
At the first floor are two near-flush sash windows with glazing bars, eight over eight. There are two ground floor windows with flat arched cambered heads, now with altered glazing bars. The building has a central six-panel door with flat arch. On the right-hand side is a hanging sign at first floor level.
Numbers 2 to 14 Church Street (even) form a group.

North Walsham is a medieval market town that grew wealthy from the trade of wool and cloth. The town was largely rebuilt following a fire in 1600 but remained a significant market centre into the Industrial Revolution.
The White Swan dates from the late C18. It is located on Church Street, to the east of the Church of St Nicholas. The building was depicted on the Tithe Map of 1842 and recorded as ‘White Swan Public House, Shop and Yards’. Internal and external alterations were undertaken in the late C20.
