The building faces west and comprises a three storey front elevation with an early C19 wooden shop front and two entrances on the ground floor. The principal entrance is recessed and centrally placed, the domestic entrance is located to the left-hand side. There are two pairs of sash windows at first and second floor level. The upper storeys are faced in lined and painted stucco. At third-floor level are four iron pattress plates.

The building forms a group with Numbers 2-14 Church Street (even).

History

North Walsham is a medieval market town that grew wealthy from the trade of wool and cloth. The town was largely rebuilt following a fire in 1600 but remained a significant market centre into the Industrial Revolution.

Number 10 Church Street probably dates to the early C19 building and was historically used as a shop with domestic accommodation above. The 1842 tithe apportionment recorded it as a house and shop.
