TL 31NW WARE RURAL WATERSPLACE

House. Early C18. W wing and stable mid C19. Centre probably
timberframed under plaster. Stable of Hitch's patent bricks and
W wing possibly also under the stucco. Slate roofs. A 2-storeys
and attics house with principal front now on W. 3-windows with
plinth, floor band, and central panelled and glazed door in
pilastered doorcase with porch of Tuscan columns, and
entablature. Flush sash windows with 6/6 panes. N front of 4-
windows conceals the lower floor-heights in the older central
part of the house, with sash windows carried above ceiling levels
to range with those in the C19 W-wing. Gabled central porch in
stucco walls lined as ashlar. One and a half storeys N stable
wing with upper entrance to hay loft and stable door on W. Heavy
ovolo moulded beam with half-octagonal stop in kitchen.
