House. Mid/late C17. Coursed squared limestone rubble and
coursed squared limestone; stone slate roof, hipped to right;
left-end stack rebuilt in concrete blockwork. 2 gables to
front; straight joint at centre suggests two periods of
building, to left probably later. 2 storeys and attic;
3-window range. First floor has two 6/6-pane and one 8/8-pane
sashes, all in ovolo-moulded stone surrounds probably with
stone mullions-and-transoms cut out. One 2-light leaded iron
casement in similar surround in right gable; one C19 4/4-pane
sash with ovolo-moulded lintel with renewed jambs in left
gable. Ground floor windows similar to first floor. Door to
right, 6-panel with upper 2 panels glazed and exposed timber
lintel, is in Abbey Wall, Gosditch Street (qv). Blocked
opening to right of this, also with exposed timber lintel,
also in Abbey Wall. Moulded dripcourse over ground and first
floors and over windows in gables. INTERIOR not inspected.
