2 shops, now one, with vacant flat over. Probably C16; C19 and
C20 additions to rear. Render over timber-framing to front,
render over coursed limestone rubble to sides, rendered
extensions to rear; stone slate roof; truncated stone stack to
right-end, reconstituted stone stack to left-end of rear
range. Continuous jetty building.
2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. First floor has four C19
two-light timber casements; ground floor has four C19 shop
windows with moulded timber mullions and moulded timber cills,
to right flanking recessed C19 half-glazed door with
overlight, similar door to left end ; two C20 rooflights.
INTERIOR now has single large space to ground floor of main
range with massive chamfered cross beam to centre and heavy
chamfered spine beam to each side, all unstopped chamfers; to
right moulded stone fire-surround, probably C17, with damaged
lintel, uncovered 1990. Two C19 staircases from ground to
first floor; beam on first floor landing to right has
chamfered section over staircase with diagonal-cut stops; wall
posts to first floor front with jowled heads; C19 winder
staircase from first to second floor; roof space inaccesible,
parts of principals and collars visible in closed trusses
dividing rooms to right and far right.
