Early C19 house. Two storeys stuccoed. Hipped slate roof with wide eaves cornice.
Glazing bars intact on first floor only. The house consists of a centre portion of
5 windows with a curved porch at the head of 6 semi-circular steps and recessed wings
of 1 window each with stringcourse. The south front has a curved bay of 3 windows in
the centre of the centre portion with columns on a stone base forming a verandah
approached by 8 steps. The iron balcony above had disappeared. Later addition of
4 windows at the east end. Interior has curved staircase with cast iron balusters
and stair well; doors with 6 fielded panels and reeded architraves with lions head
masks. The central rear ground floor room has a fireplace with pilasters and an
elaborate cornice. The house was originally called Hintersham Park and later
Archery Ground house. At the time of survey (1980) the house was derelict and boarded
up.
