granite dressings, grouted scantle slate roof. Shallow-depth
rectangular range with each sty divided by a rubble wall.
Single storey. Yard front has 6 doorways with C20 planked
doors with original hinges and other furniture. Rear has 6
feeding hatches and 4 slit ventilators. INTERIOR: cobbled
floors, granite troughs and original roof structure with
nailed collars. Subsidiary features: rubble wall at
right-angles in front on right, splayed and with gate pier

attached to implement shed (qv)). The wall has 2 openings and
there are 2 troughs originally filled by water from mill leat.
The water supply system at Methleigh, serving mill, farm
buildings, house and gardens, is a considerable feat of
planning and engineering and is probably the most complex of
its kind in Cornwall.
