House, hospital in C20, vacant at time of resurvey (1990).
c1770 with later alterations and additions. Brick with ashlar
dressings; slate roofs with truncated brick end stacks. 3
storeys; symmetrical 5-window range with 2-storey, 2-window,
range to left. Top friezes and cornices; coped gables. Ground
floor has 2 mid C19 canted plastered bay windows with high
parapets and horned sashes;1st floor has windows with
rusticated wedge lintels and fluted keys over 12-pane horned
sashes; 2nd floor casement windows; range to left has windows
with rusticated wedge lintels and fluted keys over large mid
C19 four-pane horned sashes to ground floor, 12-pane horned
sashes to 1st floor. Round-headed entrance has aedicule with
panelled pilasters with rosettes to entablature blocks and
open pediment; panelled door. Left return has C20 bow window
with balcony above; right return has canted bay window with
hipped tile roof. Rear has wing conecting with late C20 old
people's hospital. INTERIOR not inspected.
