Circa C16 or C17 house, divided into cottages. West range sandstone ashlar, partly
rendered. Plain tile gable-ended roof. Two storeys and attic. Stone mullion windows
with later casements inserted, the mullion having been removed. At south end of west
range gabled on 2 sides with circular openings on gables. Large central brick stack
and one gabled dormer.
At right angles to east, brick faced range possibly concealing timber framing,
2 storeys and attic, 2 windows. Large truncated external stack at rear. C19
extension at east end.
Interior of west range has stopped chamfer ceiling beams. Said to have been
originally a Hunting Lodge for Madeley Court.
