A Grade II Listed Building in Bristol, City of Bristol

Henbury House circa 1900

My grandmother, Edith Frances Ellen Williams 1874-1960 lived in Henbury House in her late teens. She is the daughter od George Williams 1829-1937 and his second wife Ellen Webb 1847-1889. George Williams married Florence Marion Gibbs in 1895 and my guess is that is about when he bought Henbury House. My grandmother married Norton Wetmore of nearby Norton Farm in Beira, Mozambique in 1910. Norton went to Africa to fight in the Boer War, and settled in Rhodesia. Norton was a Rhodesian Customs officer in Beira. This picture of Henbury House was always on the wall wherever my grandmother lived.
