HELSTON

SW6427 CROSS STREET 631-1/4/114 (North side) No.11 Trevean and attached forecourt walls

GV II

Town house. Late C18 or early C19. Render replacing stucco on rubble to front; granite ashlar plinth, quoin strips, doorway and parapet coping otherwise rubble walls; hipped asbestos slate roof with rendered end and axial stacks; cast-iron ogee gutters. Large plan including rear service wings. 2 storeys; symmetrical 5-window front. Original 12-pane hornless sashes; central rusticated doorway with impost string, 2 courses below flat arch with coping as hood; pair of 4-panel doors with fielded panels and spoked fanlight with concentric elliptical arches. INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest and noted as having panelled window shutters to ground-floor front rooms. Subsidiary features: greenstone and granite ashlar forecourt walls flanking wide carriage entrance right of house and also adjoining coach house (qv).
