GV II

Terrace of 3 houses, now shops. From 1762 and completed c1800.
By Thomas Paty. Limestone ashlar, party wall stacks and a
pantile mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style.
Each of 3 storeys and attic; 3-window range. C20 shop fronts,
upper pilasters to a cornice and parapet, and first-floor sill
band. 6/6-pane sashes, plate-glass sashes to No.67, and paired
dormers. INTERIOR: partially opened out as a shop; rear
lateral dogleg winder stair with stick balusters and a ramped,
wreathed rail, semicircular-arched rear stair light with
panelled reveals and soffit, good cornice to stair well with
swag, marble fireplaces, and panelled shutters and 6-panel
doors. Severely damaged by c1940 bombing, part of Park Street
was rebuilt after the war.
