GV II

Two shops. Early C19. Incised stucco with a crested slate roof
and brick stacks to gable ends and party wall. Double-depth
plan. 3 storeys; 3-window range. All windows are 8/8-pane
sashes in forward frames. No.9 to the left is symmetrical
2-window range, with a mid C19 shop front; this has set-back
double doors with overlight, flanked by plate-glass
bay-windows between colonnettes and with ornamental
segmental-arched tops. These support a projecting cornice
which curves back at the corners and forms the shop fascia.
No.11, to the right, is single-range; the first-floor window
rests on the cast-iron, crested fascia. A C20 shop window is
to the right, and the door is to left of centre. INTERIOR not
inspected.
