Terraced house. C18, possibly of the 1760s, and renovated
1879. Brick covered with stucco scored as ashlar on the main
facade, roof of Welsh slate. Three storeys over basement,
two-window range. Steps up to entrance flanked by iron
railings, the entrance with simple architrave and cornice on
consoles, overlight and panelled door. All windows including
that to the basement flat-arched with moulded architraves,
cornice on consoles to the ground floor, vermiculated
keystones to the first floor; cornice and blocking course;
dormer in mansard roof. Early LCC plaque commemorating Charles
Lamb who lived here, 1823-27.
