Church. 1932. B. A. Miller. Pale brick with stone
dressings and green pantile roof. 4-bay nave with aisles,
higher crossing with transepts and 2-bay chancel higher
still with chapel to (ritual) south and vestry to north.
Nave has stepped lancets at west end and paired clerestory
lancets. Aisles have triple lancets and round headed
entrances at west end with recessed tympana and plaques
above. Crossing has paired lancets under stone tympana with
carved figures. Flat-roofed transepts with canted angles
and triple lancets. Chancel has 2 lancets to north and
south with canted angles and tall stone cross motif at east
end; hipped roof and north west bell cote with shaped gable.
Interior, roughcast, round-arched arcade with no mouldings
or capitals. Roof has tie beams and is painted with a zig-
zag pattern. Chancel arch flanked by pulpit and reading
desk. Tall curtain behind altar. Rood and font by
Bainbridge Copnall. A nave altar in a similar style to the
pulpit and reading desk is the principal additon to this
intact and striking interior.
