Front boundary walls to Colston
House

GV II

Front boundary walls to Colston House (qv). c1830s. Local
stone rubble with traces of limewash. Walls bound the Colston
Road, onto which the house backs. To the right the walls
include a service gateway with rounded gate piers. To the left
they curve inwards to form a carriage turn at the main
entrance of the house where the gateway is flanked by square
section piers with pyramidal caps. Included for group value
with the house.
