Probable cartshed and stable range, partly converted to
holiday cottage, partly used as storage. c1845. Local grey
limestone rubble, roof partly asbestos slate, partly
corrugated-iron. Plan: long range at right-angles to the main
block of Kilbury manor house and projecting forward of it
(south-east) probably originally facing into a farmyard in
front of the house (qv). The left end of the range has been
absorbed into the house and is listed with the house. The
remainder has been partly converted to a holiday cottage. A
cross passage between house and former agricultural wing still
exists. The range is under 2 separate roofs. EXTERIOR: lofted
building. Asymmetrical front, the left-hand range with a
central recessed C20 door flanked by windows and two C20
rooflights. The right-hand range, with a slightly taller tin
roof has 3 pairs of double doors and a gabled hayloft to the
left. INTERIOR: roof trusses of a C19 character.
