GODSHILL

1353-0/4/121 Bagwich

GV II

House. Early to mid C17. Built of Isle of Wight stone rubble
with brick dressings. Tiled roof of alternate 4 courses of
plain and scalloped tiles. Off central brick chimneystack. 3
C17 3-light mullioned windows with hood moulds. 2 storey C17
gabled porch, tile hung on 1st floor and brick on ground floor
of C17 thin bricks with round-headed arch and 2 small
round-headed arches in sides. Late C18 flush panelled door.
Modern extension to right hand side not of special interest.
Rear elevation has some C17 mullioned windows. Deep plinth.
Interior has square panelled framing. One of the original
Domesday manors.
