1354-0/8/81 Toll Cottage


GV II

Toll cottage. Mid C19. Built of stone rubble with slate roof
and brick chimneystacks. Roughly cruciform in shape. Gable
ended to road. Attic has blocked slit window. Ground floor has
canted bay with leaded lights and separate left side gable
with 2 centred arched doorcase and plank door. Wings have
casements, with leaded lights to left wing. Included as an
unaltered example of a toll house.
