House, formerly lodge to Heysham Hall. 1870. Squared sandstone with slate roof. Cruciform plan. 2 storeys. East gable wall, facing Middleton Road, has 2-light chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor and a window of 2 pointed lights under a pointed head above. To the right, in the angle with a north wing, is a 2-storey porch with a coped parapet, a small 1st floor window, and a chamfered doorway flanked by tall narrow lights. To the left, projecting on a diagonal axis from the south-east corner of the wing, with a bay window, blind at the sides and with a casement window in its front wall. Above the window and below a parapet is a plaque inscribed '1870'. The gable wall facing Heysham Hall Drive to the south has a stone canted bay window with a 2-light mullioned window above. Gables have copings and ball finials. 2 chimney caps on ridges of roofs.
