House. Probably C18 core, remodelled circa 1820-30. Painted rendered stone rubble.
Asbestos slate roof with gable end rendered stacks. Virtually symmetrical 2-room,
central stairhall plan, with 1 1/2 storey outshuts added to each side of rear staircase
window. In C19 the house was apparently refurbished with a C18 doorcase probably
brought from elsewhere, a geometrical staircase and good quality internal joinery.
2 storeys. 3-window range. Symmetrical. C20 fenestration, 2-light casements 6
panes per light. Early C18 central Ionic square-headed doorcase with fluted
columns, the entablature breaking back from the columns. Raised and fielded 6-
panelled door and panelled surround. The door and doorcase appear to have been
brought from elsewhere. Segmental arched rear stair window with intersecting
glazing bars.
Interior: Geometrical staircase with wreathed handrail and stick balusters.
Slightly cambered timber lintel to left-hand room fireplace which has bread oven.
Good C19 joinery including panelled doors and integral cupboards to right-hand room.
Doorcases to stair landing on left side have incised Greek key motif.
