Attached house. c1790. Limestone ashlar, brick lateral stacks,
roof not visible. Double-depth plan. Late Georgian style. 2
storeys attic and basement; 3-window range. A symmetrical
front has clasping pilasters to a string, cornice and full
attic storey. Full-height 3-light bows set in from the sides
flank a doorway with attached Tuscan columns to a pediment
with a small semicircular-arched window in the tympanum, and
C20 six-panel door. Curved 6/6-pane sashes to the bows, with
single segmental-arched basement sashes and 3/3-pane attic
sashes, a semicircular-arched 6/6-pane sash over the doorway,
and a raised shield to the attic with a lion surrounded by
rocaille leaves. INTERIOR not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES:
attached wrought-iron railings to Pennant entrance steps.
Forms the end of Prince's Buildings (qv).
