c.1500 timber-framed house with hall range of three bays and two
bayed cross-wing to north-west. Two storeys. Rough-cast
rendering to timber-framing with some exposed timber. Under
built cross-wing jetty, and north-west wall in painted brick.
Plain tile roofs with some crested ridge tiles. Large brick
ridge stack. Three first floor casement windows to main range
and four hung sash windows with glazing bars to left of four
panelled door. One horizontal sliding sash window with glazing
bars to cross-wing. Interior. Has an original timber-framed
chimney with jambs of field boulders and later brick. Richly
moulded cross-beamed hall ceiling. Original side purlin roofs,
with broad windbraces in each roof bay.
