C17 inn; timber-framed, two unit plan with lobby entry, raised
to two storey height and extended by one bay to north-west in
early C19. Roughcast render and painted brick. Slate roof to
street elevation. Rear roofs of paired gabled wings, and
outshut, plain tiled with some old ridge tiles. Three first
floor horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, and
three similar recessed ground floor windows. Interior has
exposed frame of original building, and altered inglenook
hearths.
