SJ94SW SPRING GARDENS ROAD, Longton 613-1/7/90 (South side) Former Registrar's Office at Longton Cemetery

Former Registrar's Office to Cemetery. 1869. Timber-frame and brick with plain tiled roof. Picturesque asymmetry, L-plan. 2-storeyed with advanced gable to N with casement windows and decorative timber panelling forming arcade between the windows. Pronounced bargeboards carried on moulded console brackets. Single-storeyed gabled bay projects parallel to this, with gabled porch and casement window with arms of Longton over. Side and rear wall stacks.
