Built 1813 as lodgings for officers of Greenwich Hospital. Architect Yenn.
2 storeys, 11 windows. Low pitched, hipped slated roof. Yellow stock brick
with stone frieze, cornice and parapet. The parapet raised, above 3 centre bays,
to hold achievement of arms. 3 centre bays project slightly. Gauged, round
brick arches to windows, those on 1st floor now replaced casements though retaining
radial glazing bars in heads, those on ground floor sashes with glazing bars.
The 7 central ground floor bays have loggia of paired stone Tuscan columns,
entablature and blocking course. The outer bays, extended by 1 to continue round
angle, consist of open brick arcade with stone cornice and blocking course, impost
band and plinth. Recessed panels below ground floor windows. Plain entrance
in bay to right of centre. Rear of building encloses a courtyard.
