Farmhouse, dated 1662, severely renovated externally. Brick, stone and
concrete dressings, slate roof with one ridge and one gable chimney stack
at right end. Two storeys; 3-bay baffle entry plan, the 1st bay built as
wider cross wing projecting forwards and the middle bay having a 2-storey
gabled porch. Large dressed stone quoins to ground floor corners of
cross wing and porch; porch offset right of centre, with door also offset
to right and a square datestone over it, lettered in relief WIW 1662; window
above it. All windows are modern and have concrete sills and heads.
Interior: porch houses. staircase (not original); middle bay (now
partitioned at front to form corridor) has pair of bridging beams and
exceptionally large bressummer all ovolo-moulded; 1st bay has similar
bridging beams; 3rd bay has smaller ovolo-moulded bressummer, and
bridging beams chamfered and stopped at one end only, all apparently
re-located.
