C186O-70 jewellry quarter works and offices parenting a tall 2 storey stuccoed
elevation to the street with Italianate decorative details. Originally probably
included residential accommodation. The 4 bay front has a moulded capped
plinth, moulded first floor sill course, stepped frieze and dentils to prominent
eaves cornice. Doorways to outer bays with windows to centre on ground floor.
Each window of 2 round headed lights with slender shafts, blind panels above
each light with roundel and wreath ornament, bearded head keystones to lintels;
panelled aprons down to plinth. The doorways have pilaster strips with large
console brackets supporting dentil cornices, same keystones as windows. First
floor windows have similar details with cambered arches, linking string at
impost level. The right hand windows have been thrown into one. The bearded
head keystones break into frieze and are flanked by decorated consoles rising
up to eaves cornice. A lively elevation marking the workshop rear ranges.
