Over the chancel arch is a C15th "doom" painting with Christ in glory, seated on a rainbow, supported by two orbs, on a sea of glass. Beneath is a reddish-brown background with the dead rising from graves or coffins. No "Hell’s mouth" on this doom painting, but flames do emerge from a coffin, and also impinge on the sea of glass immediately above the coffin.
