House, possibly formed from two or more cottages. C18 with later alterations.

MATERIALS: uncoursed rubble stone with brick stacks and a stone slate roof.

EXTERIOR: the front elevation faces east, and is set back from the street, being accessed via a gap between numbers 5 and 7 The Bar. This elevation is of two storeys, with a central door, of six fielded panels, being flanked by windows with monolithic stone lintels. The upper floor has a single window placed towards the southern end of the elevation, this having a timber lintel when previously described.

The roof has plain verges and end ridge stacks.

The rear elevation fronts directly onto Waterloo Street, this is further downhill so that this elevation is of three storeys. This has two windows to the two upper floors with stone lintels and sills. The lower ground floor has a doorway with a stone lintel to the right (south) with a small window to its right. To the left there is an inserted double doorway. To the north there is a single-bay early extension of two storeys with a further doorway with a small window above.
