5/302 Stables to north west of St. Minver

Stables now store and garage. Circa early C19. Stone rubble with brick dressings.
Rag slate roof with alternating raised clay ridge tiles acting as ventilators. Half
hipped end on right and gable end on left. Brick stack on left hand gable end.
Rectangular plan with small privy on left, carriage house, small heated room, stables
with three stalls and tack room on right.
One storey with loft. Brick segmental arches to openings. 6 pane window to left,
garage doors in original opening for carriage house and 12-pane window in blocked
entrance near centre. To the right a cobbled slope rises up to the plank doors of
the stable and a 12-pane window lights the tack room on the far right. Small drain
outlet from stable to right of stable door. Two hornless 12-pane sashes are
positioned above the left hand window and the carriage entrance to light the loft
with stone rubble steps to rear providing access.
Interior: Lath and plaster and timber framed partitions remaining insitu. Stables
retain their ramped stall partitions and mangers. The central small room was
originally heated by a rear lateral stack with a delightful small early C19 slate
chimney piece.
The stables remain largely unaltered with almost complete interior.
